Di Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) don get court to jail one man wey dem call Olaniran Satiregun because im dey run fake courses for im school wey no get government approval for Nasarawa State.

 

Satiregun na di Founder and Rector of one school wey dem call International College of Administration Science and Technology for Auta Balefi, Nasarawa State.

 

ICPC carry am go court first time for 2024 with three charges say im dey collect money by false pretense. Di prosecutors wey Mr. Adesina Raheem lead, tell court say di man and im school dey scam students by dey give admission for courses wey no get NBTE (National Board for Technical Education) approval.

 

Investigation show say di school only get license to run four courses, but between 2019 and 2021, dem still dey give people admission for Nursing, Public Health and Computer Science – courses wey dem no get right to teach.

 

One of di charges talk say Satiregun and im school collect ₦110,000 from one student, Onmonya Daniel Ogah, as school fees and admission letter for fake nursing/public health programme wey dem no fit run.

 

For judgement, Justice Anyalewa Onoja-Alapa of di Federal High Court, Lafia, find Satiregun and di school guilty for all di charges. Di judge sentence Satiregun go seven years for prison – no option to pay fine.

 

Justice Onoja-Alapa also order say all di money wey dem collect from students for di illegal courses must be refund back to dem, and di school must only run di four courses wey NBTE approve.

 

Na so ICPC take show example say anybody wey wan scam students or run fake school for Nigeria go face di law.
