The President of the Nigeria School Sports Federation Mrs Olabisi Joseph has one ambition she wants to accomplish as the boss of the Federation, and that is winning the World Secondary schools Football trophy.

This she said is achieveable in China later in the year, if she is returned in the next election of the Federation.

Madam Bisi as she is fondly called can be described as a silent achiever considering the impact the Federation has made in the past three year that she has been saddled with the responsibility of paddling the ship of the Federation.


Madam Bisi  in the sports circle. is not just a woman who is passionate about sports but one whose passion for grassroots sports development is on overdrive. 

Mrs Bisi Joseph emergence as the President, Nigeria Schools Sports Federation (NSSF), did not come from blues, instead it came from her hardwork and achievements as the Secretary General of the Federation for six year.

But this great woman came to the fore with an indescribable passion to elevate the Federation  beyond human comprehension within a record time of less than three (3) years. How she does it, calls for a study by academics.

The milestone is not just a numerical representation but a celebration of well - organised structure of grassroots sports development with a clear - cut blueprint aimed at hunting for talents, grooming and nurturing them to stardom. It was obvious she knew her onions, knew what she wanted to achieve and set out to achieving them in record time.

Among her numerous achievements was working in close collaboration with the Nigeria Football Federation, in ensuring that girls football is taken to  the secondary schools. The  organisation of the first ever National Secondary School U.15 Football tournament that led into the Country presenting a team in the Confederation of African U.15 Football Championship  held in Lome, Togo, and some of the girls that represented the country in the competition are now members of the National U-17 Female team, is a landmark achievement.

Madam Bisi's humility and human relations are legendary and great assets which has helped her for the smooth running of the NSSF.

 Madam Bisi believes that her desire to return to the position of the president of the Federation is to enable her  sustain, and consolidate on these legacies which will enable Nigeria conquer the World in the forthcoming World Secondary School Football Championship to be held in China by May 2024.

Mrs Joseph is a graduate of the University of Ibadan, where she bagged a honours degree in Education in 1992, and a Master degree from the University of Lagos.

At the University of Ibadan, she served as  Sport Secretary of the popular Idia Hall of the University.
