I Now Earn More Alone Than I Did With Psquare” – Peter Okoye Responds to Brother Jude

Peter Okoye, formerly one half of the iconic music duo Psquare, has declared that his solo career has become more lucrative than his time with the group, which included his twin brother Paul and their older brother and ex-manager, Jude Okoye.

Peter, also known as Mr. P, made the statement  via X (formerly Twitter) in a direct response to a Friday Instagram post by Jude, who accused him, singer Cynthia Morgan, and others he previously managed of betrayal and ingratitude.

“I now earn more on my own as a solo artiste than I ever did splitting the income three ways in Psquare — including the so-called manager,” Peter wrote. “From shows to endorsements, it makes me wonder: why share with people who stole from you, betrayed you, and continue to discredit your efforts?”

He described his solo journey as not only more profitable but also personally fulfilling, adding, “This path has given me peace of mind.”

Peter went on to say he’s done “playing nice” while being disrespected, emphasizing a shift in his approach to family tensions.

In a sharp counteraccusation, he claimed Jude had slandered him to officials at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which allegedly played a role in Jude’s arrest and detention over money laundering charges involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.

“These are the same lies you fed the EFCC,” Peter wrote. “And look where it got you — locked up. Now you’re trying to spin a new story.”

Despite ongoing legal proceedings, Peter insisted that the family has yet to answer a fundamental question:
“Even with the court case ongoing, you still haven’t answered the real question: Did you steal or not?”
