Controversial sex therapist, Hauwa Mohammed, popularly known as Jaruma, has opened up about her motivations for getting married. In an interview with the "Issues and Society" podcast, Jaruma revealed that she tied the knot with Ross Fahad Isabor in 2018 to alleviate intense backlash from northerners.

At the time, Jaruma was facing criticism for selling aphrodisiacs as a single woman. "They questioned why a single lady was teaching people about intimacy and making a fortune from it," she explained.

Despite her successful business – Jaruma claimed to have made N760 million in three years – the pressure became overwhelming. "I thought, 'If marriage is the solution, I'll just do it.'" Jaruma admitted she didn't marry for love, but rather to ease the criticism.

Jaruma married Isabor just a month after meeting him, disclosing her true intentions to him from the start. However, the marriage ended in divorce in 2021, with the couple having a child together.

The revelation comes after Isabor publicly denounced Jaruma in 2022, warning her to stop using his name to promote her products.
