Nigerian lawmaker representing Delta North in the National Assembly, Senator Ned Nwoko, has firmly denied claims that he is attempting to reconcile with his estranged wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels.

 

This clarification comes after Regina alleged that Nwoko had been sending members of his family to plead on his behalf while publicly attacking her on social media. Her colleague, Doris Ogala, earlier backed Regina’s claims in an Instagram post, adding fuel to the ongoing controversy.

 

Nwoko: “I Do Not Want Her Back”

 

In a statement issued through his media and communications lead, Senator Nwoko dismissed the rumours of reconciliation, insisting he has not been in contact with Regina beyond their last dispute.

 

“I do not want Regina back in my house,” the statement read.

“Claims that I have been chatting with her or seeking reconciliation are false.”

The lawmaker also denied Regina Daniels’ allegations relating to drugs and sexual misconduct, describing them as baseless, fabricated, and impossible to substantiate.

 

He said Regina’s social media outbursts were the result of what he called the influence of hard drugs, noting that their final WhatsApp exchange contained an ultimatum: return to rehabilitation or lose his financial support.

According to Senator Nwoko, Regina reacted violently to the ultimatum:

She became “violent and berserk,” allegedly destroying vehicles and properties within their residence.

 

He also referenced a video Regina posted online showing him in a bathroom — a clip he said left him “shocked” that she would upload publicly.

The senator claimed that Regina had been responding well to rehabilitation until her birthday, when she allegedly indulged in hard drugs with friends for four days, which he says triggered her recent behaviour.

The public dispute follows weeks of escalating tension between the estranged couple, with Regina accusing Nwoko of abuse and harassment, while Nwoko maintains she is being influenced by substance use and has refused professional help.

The situation continues to trend across social media, drawing intense reactions from Nigerians and sparking renewed discussions about celebrity marriages, mental health, and online conflict.
