“I cry while recording my songs”- Tems
Nigerian musician Temilade Openiyi, known as Tems, opened up about her creative process. She shared that she pours her heart into her music, and it can get intense, even causing her to cry while recording songs.
According to the grammy winning artist, some of her songs, due to their deeply personal nature, have moved her to tears during recording sessions.
She made this known in an interview session with Billboard. In her words, “I have cried while making some of these songs because they were very personal to me.”
Speaking further, the “Try Me” crooner also revealed that most of her songs are freestyles and she recorded her song “Free mind” herself while singing into her laptop because at that time, she had no microphone.
