How General MI Tsiga Regains Freedom After Collective Efforts

Brigadier General MI Tsiga has been released from captivity, thanks to the collective efforts of friends, associates, and the public. Tsiga was kidnapped on February 5, 2025, from his home in Tsiga Town, Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.
A WhatsApp platform named "TSIGA" was created on February 9, 2025, to coordinate efforts and solicit donations for the ransom demand of 400 million naira. The platform, comprising over 300 members from various backgrounds, including retired and serving military officers, civilians, university lecturers, ambassadors, and businessmen, received an overwhelming response.
Donations were channeled into General Tsiga's Unity Bank account, and Brigadier General Ismaila Abdullahi, who led the efforts, expressed gratitude to all contributors. The collective efforts yielded a positive outcome, resulting in General Tsiga's release on April 4, 2025.
In a statement, Brigadier General Abdullahi thanked the public for their financial, moral, and spiritual support, saying, "Together We Can." The successful release of General Tsiga brings relief to his family, friends, and colleagues [6].
