Famous ancient Roman philosopher Marcus Tullius Cicero once said "As fire when thrown into water is cooled down and put out, so also a false accusation when brought against a man of the purest and holiest character, boils over and is at once dissipated, and vanishes" the above expression emphasizes the importance of uprightness in once daily dealings.

The Chairman Eziukwu road market Aba Hon. Oba Moses Ibe has reacted to a recent allegations levelled against him by The Deputy Mayor of Aba South LGA of Abia State Mr Azubuike Martin.

Mr Azubuike alleged in a statement made in a viral video that Hon. Oba Moses and his market executives at Eziukwu road market are  plotting  to dispossess traders of their shops under the pretext of a reconstruction project.

Hon. Oba Moses described the allegations as baseless and deceptive.

In his reaction Hon. Oba Moses expressed his dismay at Mr Azubuike Martin firstly for organizing the protest and also for pointing accusing fingers at him "it's a shame that a man like Mr Azubuike Martin who is expected to act honourably would stoop so low to the level of hiring some individuals to stage a protest against the State Government, am even more disappointed with the fact that he accused me of having some interest in the reconstruction of the dilapidated areas of the market". He said

Oba Moses Ibe denied any personal interest in the reconstruction plan,  "any construction work at the market would always be approved by the Aba South Local Government, the legal owners of the market, not me or any member of my executives ".

Hon. Oba Moses went ahead to urge the general public to disregard the accusations of Mr Azubuike Martin and his cohorts as that is only meant to misinform the public.
