Nigerian celebrity chef Hilda Baci has achieved another historic milestone, with Guinness World Records (GWR) officially recognizing her for preparing the largest-ever serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice.

The new record was announced on GWR’s official X account, which stated: “New record: Largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice – 8,780 kg (19,356 lb 9 oz) achieved by Hilda Baci and Gino in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.”

This accomplishment came after a massive culinary event held on September 12, 2025, at the Eko Hotels and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. The event, dubbed the 'Gino World Jollof Festival with Hilda Baci,' attracted thousands of people and became a major topic on social media.

Baci, who first gained international fame in 2023 for setting the world record for the longest cooking marathon, has now cemented her status as one of Nigeria's most celebrated culinary figures. The Lagos event saw a strong turnout of celebrities and public figures, including Funke Akindele, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and Pastor Idowu, as well as Bamidele Abiodun, the wife of the Ogun State Governor, who all attended to support Baci's record-breaking endeavor.
