Heartland Queens Coach Obi Ogbala Encourage Players Despite Heavy Defeat to Remo Stars

Heartland Queens remain winless in the 2023/24 NWFL Premiership after suffering a 4-1 defeat to Remo Stars Ladies, extending their difficult start to the season.
Despite the setback, head coach Obi Ogbala commended his players’ effort, particularly in the first half, before costly errors allowed the hosts to dominate after the break.
“It was a good game regardless of the scoreline,” Ogbala said post-match. “The girls fought hard, especially in the first half. Unfortunately, we made too many mistakes in the second half, which the opponents capitalized on.”
With just one point from four games, Ogbala remains optimistic about turning the season around.
“It’s a marathon. The win will come—we just don’t know when. We struggled with ball control today and gave away possession too easily, which put us under pressure. But we’ll keep moving forward, and once we start winning, things will change.”
