ECN Global Football Academy has secured a spot in the semifinals of the ongoing Gwagwalada Ramadan Unity Cup, organized by the Gwagwalada Football Council.

The tournament, which began with over 25 teams from Gwagwalada and surrounding areas, saw ECN advance after a tense 5-4 penalty shootout victory over Ejiwumi FC, following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

In Thursday’s first quarterfinal match, Bocknor Academy edged out Inspiration Academy 6-5 on penalties, after an entertaining 2-2 draw in normal time. Meanwhile, Daniel Football Academy secured a 2-1 win over Golden Boys FC, while Sure Flyers comfortably defeated Lion Hearts 2-0 to book their place in the last four.

According to the semifinal fixtures released by the tournament’s organizing committee, Bocknor Academy will face Sure Flyers FC on Wednesday, while ECN Global Academy will battle Daniel Football Academy in Kwali for a place in the final.

The championship final match is scheduled for Sunday, marking the conclusion of this year’s Ramadan celebration.
