One couple, Mohammed Nazifi and Bilkisu Ibrahim, don dey in trouble after dem convict dem for adultery for Gwagwalada Magistrates’ Court in Abuja. Dem go remain for Suleja Correctional Centre till January 29 when dem go sentence dem.

Nazifi, wey be 30 years, and Ibrahim, wey be 25 years, plead guilty during trial on Wednesday. Dem beg court for mercy, with Nazifi claiming say him no know say Ibrahim be married woman. But Ibrahim admit say she be married and beg for forgiveness.

Ibrahim talk say, "I know say under Islamic law and custom, na offense to dey with another man apart from my husband. I beg my husband and court for mercy."

Ibrahim's husband, Dayabe Abdullahi, report di matter to Area Command in Gwagwalada on January 16. Prosecutor Dabo Yakubu tell court say dem conspire to commit adultery and confess during investigation. Dem violate Sections 387 and 388 of di Penal Code .
