Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, and NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, have expressed their sympathy for Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, First Vice President of the NFF, who was attacked by armed robbers at his Abuja home.

Gusau visited Anyansi-Agwu's home on Wednesday morning, praying for his quick recovery and the well-being of his family. Sanusi also condemned the incident, describing it as "unwholesome" and stating that the NFF feels the stress and trauma experienced by the Anyansi-Agwu family .

The armed robbery occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, January 8, 2025, at Anyansi-Agwu's Gwarinpa Estate home. The robbers ransacked the house, injuring Anyansi-Agwu and stealing valuables, including a car, mobile phones, and cash worth millions of naira. Anyansi-Agwu is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed location in the Federal Capital .
