Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu Preseason Tournament Enters Quarter Finals Stage, Karibe Ojigwe Rates Standard High

The Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Governor Victor Okezie Ikpeazu Preseason Tournament, Karibe Ojigwe has rated the standard being displayed by participating teams, as very high and satisfactory.

Ojigwe who is also the State Commissioner For Sports said the tournament is actually living to its billing, saying that the clubs are really using the opportunity to fine tune their strategies for the new season.

He was full of praises for the State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu for always accepting to host the tournament, which is in the second season. He advised the clubs to continue to display the high level of discipline that they have exhibited so far, now that the tournament is at the knock out stages. The tournament will end on Sunday.

In the quarter finals pairing released by the organizers, which will be played on Friday 25 November, City FC of Abuja will lock horns with Jaguar FC of Umuahia at 9 am. In the second match which will kick off by 11.30am, Apex Krane FC of Agbor will battle Sunshine Stars of Akure, while it will be the turn of defending champions Enyimba International to settle scores with Supreme FC of Umuahia at 1:30 Pm. The final match of the day will be between
Abia Warriors FC and Ahudiya Nnem FC of Okigwe at 3:30 Pm.

All matches will be played at the prestigious Enyimba International Stadium Aba.
