Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has announced a generous reward of ₦5 million and a plot of land for each player of Kwara United Football Club following their historic victory in the 2025 President Federation Cup.

 

The announcement was made during a celebratory reception at the Government House in Ilorin, where the team was honored for clinching the prestigious national title after a hard-fought final against Enugu Rangers.

 

Governor AbdulRazaq praised the team’s resilience, discipline, and commitment, describing their triumph as a “moment of pride for every Kwaran” and a “testament to what can be achieved through unity and hard work.”

 

“This victory is not just for Kwara United, but for the entire state,” the governor said. “As a token of our appreciation, every player will receive ₦5 million and a plot of land in recognition of this incredible achievement. You have made history, and we are proud of you.”

 

This marks Kwara United’s first Federation Cup title in over two decades, sparking widespread celebrations across the state. The team’s victory also secures their spot in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup, further elevating their status on the continental stage.

 

The club’s management expressed gratitude to the governor and state government for their unwavering support throughout the season. Head Coach Kabiru Dogo called the gesture “a massive morale boost” and assured fans that the team would continue to aim higher in upcoming competitions.
