The camp of the National U17 team, Golden Eaglets will be open to eligible players from Wednesday 17 April.

Exclusive News gathered that the newly reappointed Coach of the team Manu Garba, will  open the camp with  about 40 players that have been scouted including some of the U16 players that were denied entry visa to participate in a UEFA Invitational tournament in Spain. Opportunities wil also be given to other eligible Nigerians of the age category to seen. The Eaglets have a WAFU B qualifying match later in May

We further gathered that the Coach Manu Garba is expected to meet with Technical Committee of the NFF today, where he will present his programmes and discuss the terms of his contract. He will also know his assistant coaches, who will be made public on Tuesday alongside the team's secretary and Media officer to be appointed by the NFF.

The Nigeria national U-17 football team known as the Golden Eaglets, is the youngest team that represents Nigeria in football. The team is the most successful in international football for their age group winning a record, five FIFA U-17 World Cup titles and are runners up on three occasions. They are also two-time Africa U-17 Cup of Nations champions with their most recent title at the 2007 edition.

Ghana  will  host the U17 AFCON sub-regional qualifying tournaments.

Accra, Ghana will stage the  tournament between May 15 and 29, 2024.

The Golden Eaglets are defending champions of the U17 WAFU competition.
