John 'Gentility' Chukwu, has revealed that he's anticipating a very 'tough' semi final clash against Awka Angels on Friday, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

Chukwu spoke moments after his side's emphatic 3-0 thrashing of UYPG in Thursday afternoon's third quarter final clash at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.

Beatrice Sabastine opened the floodgate of goals for Giant Empress while Ohuche Agnes doubled the lead before the break.

Rose Emmanuel curled a free kick from outside of the area to make it 3-0 few minutes before the final whistle.

The win set up a semi final clash between Giant Empress and Awka Angels on Friday morning at the same venue.

Coach Chukwu said his team's ability to take their chances in the game made the difference.

"It was a tough game. The difference was that we're able to convert our chances while they were unable to take their own chances", Coach 'Gentility' Chukwu said.

He admitted that the competition had been tough right from the start.

"All the teams that came here are all good and tough to play against", 'Gentility' said.

"We are aware of this fact. And it's important to acknowledge the fact that there's no more underdogs in football these days.

"So, we'll give the teams the respect they deserved but we'll have to go back and see how we can correct the lapses we noticed in this game so we can have a strategy to nail our opponent in the subsequent games".

'Gentility' singled out tournament convener, Judith Chime, for praise over untiring commitment to grassroot football development.

"This is one of the best, if not the best grassroot football tournament for girls. And it's down to her benevolence and we really appreciate her for efforts and pray to God to bless and provide for her and her family", Coach Chukwu said.
