Belgian club, Genk has made a last minute 360° u-turn to stop Victory Beniangba's potential move to Serbian giants, Red Star Belgrade in a rather unclear circumstances.

The youngster who was hoping to team up with another Nigerian forward, Peter Olayinka in the colours of Red Star, will now have to wait a bit longer to fulfil that dream, as the transfer has been punctured or truncated by his former club Genk.

The reasons for Genk's last minute action and change of mind is yet to be ascertained as at the time of this report, but we gathered on good authority that Genk had agreed to all the terms of the deal from the onset only to renegade on their earlier decision.

This has dealt a big blow to the deal and the boy's career which the player's representatives are not happy about as the transfer window in Serbia has closed.

"Genk has just stopped Victory Beniangba's move to Red Star Belgrade, begins our top source who chose to be anonymous.

"It's not not clear yet the reasons behind this last minute change of mind and plan because Genk had agreed to all the terms of the contract from the word go.
"This doesn't go well with the player's representatives who are furious over Genk's action, I must tell you.
"Again the transfer window in Serbia has closed living the player and his career in limbo", he concluded.

Recall that Het Belang van Limburg was quoted by reports that the young striker has already bid farewell to his teammates and the transfer is about to be completed.
This transfer is possible because the transfer window in Serbia is still open, he said.

The player who had already completed his medicals successfully, felt greatly disrespected, we are told.
Beniangba joined Genk after he had formally agreed to join Spanish club Celta Vigo from Egyptian club Cleopatra.
He scored six goals in 22 games for Jong Gen,k in his first season in Belgium.

This season, he has netted eight goals in 22 matches, scoring three goals in his last five games.
Meanwhile, Beniangba is still in Belgrade at the moment.
