FRSC Hold Mobile Court for Calabar – 46 People Face Court for Breaking Road Rules

Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for Cross River State, on Friday, September 12, 2025, run Mobile Court for Calabar to catch and punish people wey no dey obey road law.
For statement wey dem drop on Saturday, Assistant Corps Marshal and Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide, talk say 46 people face court for different wahala wey concern traffic and road safety.
Na Magistrate Abigail Asuquo judge the matter. The people wey enter trouble so, do different kind offence like:
• Try bribe road safety people
• Carry overload
• No get driver’s license
• Drive motor with bad light
• Use tyre wey don chop finish
• Carry cracked windscreen
• No get passenger manifest
• No install speed limiter
Out of the 46, 10 people wey try give FRSC officials bribe chop fine of ₦10,000 each. Another 10 people wey overload motor still pay ₦10,000 each. The ones wey no get correct driver’s license pay fine of ₦80,000 total.
18 others pay different kain fines for the rest offence wey dem commit. But one person wey court pity, dem just caution am and free am after small lecture.
Sector Commander, Innocent T. Etuk, talk say this Mobile Court na serious tool to make stubborn drivers get sense and obey road law well well. E say e go help reduce bad driving for the state.
Meanwhile, FRSC Oga Patapata, Shehu Mohammed, still talk say dem ready to make Nigerian roads safe by fire by force. E say dem get target to reduce road accident and people wey dey die for road by 10% this year.
E warn say anybody wey dey try bribe FRSC officers dey do bad thing, and such behavior fit scatter all the effort to make road safe. E beg drivers make dem obey road law and take care of their motor well.
