Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) don announce say from July 1, 2025, dem no go dey collect cash again for any post office across the country. Na only electronic payment go dey accepted for all dem services.

 

This one dey come from statement wey Franklin Alao, NIPOST Director of Corporate Communications, release on Monday. He talk say the move na part of big reform plan wey dem title “Change of Renewed Hope Berths at NIPOST Shores.”

 

Alao talk say the decision na to modernize how NIPOST dey operate, make dem fit match international standard and support Nigeria digital economy under President Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda.

 

“For July 1, 2025, all post offices go stop to collect cash. People go need use only approved electronic channels to pay for any service,” the statement talk.

 

He still add say this step go help make service faster, safer, and more transparent for everybody.

 

Alao talk say the main goal na to turn NIPOST into a modern, tech-savvy postal service wey go dey work with innovation, integrity, and better value for customers.

 

“We dey assure Nigerians say this NIPOST wey dey come go give better service and prepare well for the future,” he talk.

 

He also announce say dem go start new reward system wey go give workers bonus based on performance, and at the same time punish anybody wey no follow rules—na to build discipline and honesty for the agency.

 

NIPOST thank Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, for the strong support wey he don dey give.

 

Dem also hail Isaac Kekemeke, the new chairman of NIPOST board, and Tola Odeyemi, the postmaster general and CEO, for the reforms dem don carry do, plus efforts to improve worker welfare and training.
