Former Super Falcons Defender Ayisat Yusuf Appointed Head Coach of GirlPower United Afghans for Zurich Tournament
Former Super Falcons defender Ayisat Yusuf has been appointed Head Coach of GirlPower United Afghans for the upcoming United Summer Tournament in Zurich.
Yusuf, who had a distinguished playing career with top Nigerian clubs including Nasarawa Amazons, Delta Queens, and Rivers Angels, as well as a stint with NiceFutis in Finland, will now lead the GirlPower team at the highly regarded tournament.
Announcing her appointment via her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Yusuf expressed her excitement, writing: “I have been appointed as Head Coach of GirlPower United Afghans competing in the prestigious United Summer Camp Tournament in Zurich.”
GirlPower was founded to support refugee women and girls by providing mentorship, educational resources, and sporting opportunities. The organization plays a vital role in helping them integrate into new communities across the European Union, the United Kingdom, Africa, Australia, and the Middle East.
