Former Kwara United head coach Abdullahi Biffo has escaped death after surviving a ghastly road accident in Houston on Friday.

Biffo, who previously managed several Nigerian clubs including Abia Warriors and Katsina United, was reportedly involved in the accident while returning from work in his BMW X2 when a truck rammed into his vehicle.

Speaking to exclusivenews.com.ng, the experienced Nigerian tactician confirmed that he escaped the crash with minor injuries and was promptly taken to a hospital for treatment.

“I’m okay. I was rushed to the hospital where I was treated and discharged. The funniest thing is that the truck driver ran away. Everything is fine and the police are working hard to arrest the driver. I am very okay; there is no cause for alarm,” Biffo said.

According to him, the incident occurred in Houston, where he currently resides after relocating to the United States.

Before moving abroad, Biffo built a reputation in Nigerian football, having coached clubs such as Remo Stars, Kogi United, Niger Tornadoes and Sporting Lagos.

Authorities in Houston have reportedly begun investigations into the hit-and-run incident as efforts continue to track down the fleeing truck driver.

Despite the frightening ordeal, Biffo assured friends, colleagues and football fans that he is in good condition and recovering well.
