Former Flying Eagles Midfielder Onuche Ogbelu, on Thursday debuted for his new club Esperance of Tunisia in their quarter finals return fixtures against TP Mozambe of Congo DR in Tunis.

Ogbelu a product of FOSLA Academy was an integral part of the National U20 team all through the African U20 qualifiers before he was omitted for the World Cup proper.

The talented midfielder was introduced into the game in place of Ghaith Wahabi in the 72 minutes  with scores standing at 1-1.

Ghaith Wahabi had scored the first goal in the 45+1 minute. Onuche's tailor made passes was assisted for Oussama Bouguerra to score in the 76th minute, and again for Mohamed Tougai to be supported for the third goal in the 87th minute. Esperance seal a 3-1 win on aggregate to qualify for the semifinals.

From the opening minute, the Red and Yellow team pressed forward, creating numerous scoring opportunities. 

Ogbelu  joined Esperance of Tunisia this month (October) from FOSLA Academy, Karshi on a three year deal played his first match for the Tunisian club after passing the medicals.
