"Forget The Home Draw And Move Ahead "... Ijele Boss Urge Players
The Chief Executive Officer/ General Manager of Ijele Sports Club, Mr Ferdinand Naza has encouraged the team to put behind them the league opener 2-2 result against Inter Lagos FC at home.
Speaking to journalists in Enugu after the NNL match Day one encounter between Ijele FC and Inter Lagos at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, the General Manager told the players that he is proud of their effort in the debut game.
While blaming the result on minor lapses in concentration at critical moments, particularly in finishing opportunities and maintaining defensive shape, he enjoined them to focus their energy in the next game.
As the team prepares for their matchday2 encounter against Crown FC in Ogbomosho this weekend, Mr Naza said he has a simple advice to the boys and the technical crew which is to stay focused, play with confidence, and trust in their preparation.
"My message to the boys and the technical crew is simple: stay focused, play with confidence, and trust in your preparation. An away match is always challenging, but I believe in your ability to rise to the occasion", he said
"While we would have preferred a win, I am proud of the team's effort in their debut match. A home draw shows that we have a solid foundation to build on, and it’s clear that the players and coaching staff are putting in the work. This result is a stepping stone, and I am confident that we will improve as the season progresses", he said
