Nigerian forward Flourish Sebastian Chioma, popularly known as Flourish Sabastine, has officially signed with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe, continuing her rising professional career in the Turkish Women’s Super Lig.

The pacey attacker makes the switch from rivals Galatasaray, adding firepower to a Fenerbahçe side with ambitions for both domestic dominance and European glory.

Sabastine’s journey to Turkey has been marked by consistent progression and standout performances. She spent the 2023/24 season in France with Stade de Reims, gaining valuable experience in one of Europe’s top women’s leagues before her return to Turkey.

Before heading abroad, she lit up Nigerian football with Bayelsa Queens, a team she joined ahead of the 2020/21 season from Unnich FA. She played a pivotal role in Bayelsa’s triumph in the 2021/22 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, clinched in Benin City.

Her influence extended beyond domestic success. Sabastine helped Bayelsa Queens win the WAFU-B Championship and secure a historic third-place finish at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League, Nigeria’s best result in the competition to date.

On the international stage, the 21-year-old forward has proudly represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in both 2022 and 2024, demonstrating her flair, composure, and attacking instincts on the world stage.

Now at Fenerbahçe, Sabastine is expected to bring speed, creativity, and finishing ability to a team keen to reclaim top honors in Turkey and push for greater recognition in continental tournaments.

Her move further cements her status as one of Nigeria’s brightest footballing exports, with fans eagerly watching to see how she will impact the Turkish league in the upcoming season.
