FJ Academy Head Coach Okay-Lawrence Lauds FIFA For Ademola Lookman's CAF Awards
The head coach of the entertaining, enterprising football academy, presently based in the beautiful city of Akure, FJ Football Academy Coach Ezindu Okay-Lawrence (LtCoachLaw) popularly cakked the Officer-Coach has lauded FIFA, the international football governing body for their foresight in aiding Ademola Lookman become the African male football best player for the year 2024.
Speaking to the media immediately after the awards which took place in Morocco, the big gaffer expressed his appreciation and applause for FIFA's policy makers who through their foresight had made laws that allows a player the window of opportunity to switch allegiance to another country even after having featured for another at the age grade level.
You may recall that the current African Footballer Of The Year Ademoa Lookman had featured for the Three Lions of England at Youth level and age grade competitions but had to switch his commitment at senior level to Nigeria, the birth country of his parents which allowed him to play for the most populous black African nation in competitions, most notably the African Cup Of Nations where 'Mola' Lookman was one of the best performers for his country, scoring three goals and having assists.
This was the beginning of his rise to be crowned the African best.
The coach who spoke from his base in akure when contacted by the BetterSportsMedia on phone said in his words, *"I am very excited for the lad, it is a testament to the young football players that you could achieve any heights if you make the right choices and have the right guidance, however my most appreciation goes to the policy makers in fifa, (I hope they get to read this) who thought it wise to leave that window of opportunity for players to switch their allegiance to another country of their choice based on their convictions even after featuring for other nations at early stages. Imagine if there wasn't this opportunity, look, the joy we all have, and the pride we feel as Nigerians and Africans.*
*This is just fitting, and yes, get me right, the young man has done well for himself in the last year, yet it would not have earned him this podium finish and history books if not for FIFA's leniency.*
*This is why I applaud FIFA."*
You may recall that Ademola lookman was crowned the African best player just last night at the Confederation Of African Football (CAF) awards in Marakesh Morocco, and being in attendance was the FIFA President, CAF President, Executive Members of CAF and other football dignitaries from across the world.
We join the rest of the world to congratulate Ademola Lookman and Nigerians in general for this special history that has been made the achievements of their players and national teams.
