Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) don para say e no make sense at all say Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) go shut down one of their offices for Abuja, talk say dem no owe ground rent at all.

FIRS call the action “malicious” and “unprofessional”.

For statement wey Aderonke Atoyebi, Technical Assistant on Broadcast Media to the FIRS Executive Chairman drop for X (wey dem dey call Twitter before), she accuse the Wike-led FCTA say dem dey target FIRS unfairly.

She talk say: “E no make sense at all how FCTA go just waka come close our office wey we dey use work, scatter staff movement, especially this kind serious period wey we dey prepare to sign important Tax Reform Bills. FCTA, una don fall hand big time. FIRS no owe una one kobo.”

She still talk say na like say FCTA dey find who dem go use take shift blame, but FIRS no go gree. “If na fall guy una dey find, make una look another place. No use FIRS play politics. All the tori wey una dey fly for media no get head, and una action na pure wickedness.”

Atoyebi talk say FIRS never owe FCTA any rent for the past 25 years, and say everything don clear reach 2023. “We get all the receipt,” she talk boldly.

She still warn say this kain action fit spoil the trust wey people get for government work and even fit delay serious fiscal policies wey dem dey try put in place for the country.

She end am with strong message: “This kain move no just bad, e fit affect Nigeria tax reform wey suppose help everybody.”
