Finnish Veiskkuliiga outfit AC Oulu continued their impressive Suomen Cup performance with a nail biting 2-1 victory over visiting VJS at the Raatti Stadium on May 28 thanks to second half goals from Julius Kòrkkò and Nigerian wing wizard Spencer Silas neutralising Kevin Nurmi's 5th minute goal for the visitors on the stroke of full time.

The visitors race into an early lead in the 5th through Kevin Nurmi having played through on goal as he slotted home from close range to silence the Raatti faithfuls who have been yearning of r areturn to winning ways having recorded countless winless runs in recent times.

The hosts having being dragged down so early and knowing the implication of an early setback rose from their shells with couple of questions as they sought for restoration of parity before the halftime break which amounted in sheer futility as they ended the first half behind.

The second half wore on with different mentality fromthe hosts and they responded midway into the second stanza when Julius Kòrkkò drew them level with a good finish-signs of good tidings to come from Ac Oulu.

The visitors weathered everything thrown at them by their hosts and were hoping for the contest to end in a penalty shoot-out which almost came to fruition not until in added time when winger Kaukau evaded a couple of oppositions down the right flank to deliver a dangerous cross ontowards an unmarked Spencer Silas who brilliantly composed himself with the sweetest of volleys to send the goal famished Raatti fans into a frenzy- a moment that defined the outcome of the 5th Round contest as Ac Oulu subsequently progressed to the 6th Round.

Ac Oulu returns back to the Veikkuliiga with a date against visiting SJK at the Raatti Stadium, a match the Nigerian winger and Jewels Football Academy graduate Spencer Silas would hope to continue his goalscoring form.
