FIFA Proposes 2026 For Women World Club Cup
The World Soccer governing body ( FIFA) has proposed that the maiden edition of the Women’s Club World Cup will start in 2026.
The FIFA Council met in advance of the 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, and adopted several key decisions, particularly about the future of women’s football.
The football body made it clear that the inaugural edition will be contested by 16 teams.
It will be held from January to February of 2026 and it will be held every 4 years.
The major continents are currently having the Women’s Champions League and the winner at the continental is expected to participate in the competition.
