Following quickly on the heels of the stunning feat of their male counterparts, J'Tigers, who thrashed Ghana 72-47, Thursday, in one of the qualification matches of FIBA U-18 being played in Abidjan, Cote D'Ivoire, Nigeria's U-18 female national team, the Young Tigress, Friday evening, annihilated Liberia by a record 90-9 points.

 

The Young Tigress led by Coach Juliana Akhere, were simply unstoppable, as they literally took their opponents to the cleaners, in what seemed a one-sided game.

 

In related development, two Nigerian FIBA badged referees are amongst the officials at the ongoing FIBA Africa U18 Basketball Qualifiers for male and female. They are Afolabii Ikuomola and Joyce Wandoo Akosu.
