FCT Football Coaches Celebrate FCT At 50.
. Commends Wike's sports infrastructural development.
. Asks for more and completion of abandoned sports projects.
Football Coaches in the Federal Capital Territory engaged in a friendly football match to celebrate the Federal Capital Territory at 50 years since its establishment on February 3, 1976.
It was an interesting football encounter between Team Ilerika, FCT FA Secretary against Team Bartholomew, FCT Football Coaches Chairman. Interestingly, the match ended in a draw with Three goals (3-3) apiece.
The special guest at this event was Mr Emmanuel Danjuma Attah who is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Second tier league, Nigeria National League (NNL). He was a Chairman of the FCT Football Association (FCTFA). Also present was Godwin Bamigboye, former Chairman of the FCT Football Coaches Association and former Board Member of the FCT Football Association.
The special guest of honour, Emmanuel Danjuma Attah commended the thoughtfulness in bringing together the FCT Football family to celebrate this important anniversary. He encouraged them to sustain events of this nature with the intent of bonding among members with the overall intention of achieving the desired goals in the development of the beautiful game - Football.
Also commenting on the special FCT 50th anniversary Cup, Godwin Bamigboye commended the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for his attention to the ongoing development of Sports infrastructure in FCT and called him to sustain the effort and urged him to also complete sports projects abandoned in the Federal Capital Territory Area Councils.
The FCT Football Association Secretary, Usman Haruna Ilerika commended Coaches for the important roles they have been playing as the "goose that lays the golden eggs" and nurture them to stardom. He urged them to continue with the good works and improve their capacity to global standards.
FCT Football Coaches Chairman, Bartholomew David commended the FCT Football Association Secretary and Coaches for coming out in their numbers to honour this important match that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Federal Capital Territory.
