The Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA) has announced the formation of six standing committees, marking a significant step toward advancing football governance, development, and innovation in the region. These committees will play a pivotal role in managing and sustaining the growth of football in the FCT.

Newly Constituted Committees and Their Mandates:

Technical and Development Committee

Chairman: Bassey Patrick
Mandate: Oversee talent development, coaching programs, and grassroots initiatives, ensuring global best practices in technical advancements.


Competitions and Events Committee

Chairman: Hon. Salihu Kolo
Mandate: Plan, organize, and manage competitions and events to meet national and international standards.
Finance and Sponsorship Committee

Chairman: Hon. Dr. John Gabaya
Mandate: Develop financial strategies, secure sponsorships, and ensure transparency and accountability in financial operations.
Media and Public Relations Committee

Chairman: Uche Nwudoh
Mandate: Enhance visibility through strategic communication, public engagement, and digital outreach to build a positive image for football in the FCT.
Ethics and Disciplinary Committee

Members: Hashimu O. Adams (Chairman), Barr. Jimmy Kadiri (Secretary), Musa Yusuf Abaji, Hulda Nkwocha, Mansur Abdullahi
Mandate: Uphold integrity and fairness by addressing disciplinary matters and ensuring compliance with ethical standards.

Women’s Committee

Members: Pat Ajuma (Chairwoman), Maryam Muhammed, Adanna Nwaneri, Joyce Jegede, Bukar Mohammed, Hajia Bilkis

Mandate: Focus on the growth and development of women’s football, advocating for inclusivity and gender equality in the sport.


Future Committees:
In the coming weeks, the FCT FA will establish additional committees to address critical areas such as Area Councils, Strategic Development, Youth Football, Referees’ Development, Player Welfare, Facilities, Appeals, and Media. These appointments align with the association’s vision to build a vibrant and competitive football ecosystem.
