
Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA) sympathised and empathised with Road Safety Football Club and the entire management of FRSC over the death of Head of Sports for the Federal Road Safety Safety Corp (FRSC), DCC Sunday Joseph who died on Tuesday.
Sunday died on Tuesday morning after weeks of illness.
He was the officer in charge of the Road Safety Football Club before his demise, therefore the FCT Football family will miss him in view of his contribution to the club and football in the state.
Late Sunday Joseph was a versatile sports administrator. He was a member of the Niger Handball team during his active playing days in the 80’s and 90’s.
Bobo Gana as he is fondly called in sports circle was also a footballer who later became referee and coach during his active days in the game.
He was appointed head of sports for the FRSC last year (2018) a position he held until his death. Sunday Joseph was a prominent member of the Mega Veterans Handball Club.
The announcement of DCC Sunday Joseph’s death has sent shock waves through the FCT Football family.
Chairman of the FCT FA, Alhaji Mukhtar Abah Mohammed prayed that God Almighty give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and described the day he died a black Tuesday following the announcement of Joseph’s death.
