As part of ongoing efforts to promote inclusion and gender balance through sports, the Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCT FA) has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of football at all levels.
The Chairman of FCT FA, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed, has supported three former FCT Queens players — Odigilia Ishoma, Grace Michael, and Nnodim Sarah — with a grant of ₦100,000 each to enable them attend the ongoing Basic Level Coaching Program at the National Institute for Sports (NIS).
Though unavoidably absent at the presentation, the chairman was represented by his 1st Vice Chairman, Alhaji Salihu Kolo, who urged the beneficiaries to remain worthy ambassadors of the FCT and to make good use of the opportunity.
“The chairman is deeply committed to the growth and development of football in the FCT. His focus on human capacity development is evident in the continuous support given to coaches, referees, and other key stakeholders,” Kolo said.
He further encouraged the former players to focus on completing their coaching qualifications and to use their knowledge to positively impact their communities and Nigerian football at large.
