FC Nwosu and FC Agali Advance to Quarter-Finals in Nigeria Ex-Internationals Cup
FC Nwosu have advanced to the quarter-finals of the Nigeria Ex-Internationals Cup after a dramatic 10-9 penalty shootout victory over FC Amoo. The thrilling match ended 3-3 on aggregate, with goals from Namory Keita and Ishola Olaitan for FC Nwosu, and a brace from Mubarak Mustapha for FC Amoo. Goalkeeper Samuel Oriola was the hero in the shootout, securing the win for FC Nwosu.
In another surprising result, FC Agali stunned FC Dosu with a 2-0 win, progressing with a 4-3 aggregate. Aliyu Hassan's brace ensured Victor Agali's team marched on against all odds.
FC Agbai also moved to the next round after a 0-0 draw against FC Oloyede, securing a 3-0 aggregate win. Similarly, FC Ugbade advanced following a goalless draw with FC Dominic, winning 1-0 on aggregate.
