Ewelike Unity, a 22-year-old striker for French club FC Marmande 47, has declared his readiness to don Nigeria’s colors if given the opportunity. The forward, who also operates effectively as a winger, revealed that playing for the national team is a dream he shares with many Nigerian players. Exclusivenews.com.ng reports. 

“Playing in the national team is every player’s dream. If I am called to serve my country, I will definitely come and put in my best to make Nigeria proud. Nigeria remains my country, and defending her colors is my main dream,” Unity stated.

Reflecting on his current season, Unity highlighted his impressive contributions to FC Marmande in the R2 championnat, with 12 goals and 10 assists in just 14 matches. He credited his faith and hard work for helping the club achieve unprecedented success in the Coupe de France.

“Looking back at where I started, I give God all the glory. This is my first year with Marmande FC, and together with my teammates, we’ve made history by taking the club further in the Coupe de France than ever before.”

Unity expressed optimism about continuing his strong form as his team prepares for the Round of 32 clash on Sunday, December 22. “I hope to score more goals in the Coupe de France,” he concluded.
