Nigeria's Falconets on Friday in Accra, Ghana dumped their Moroccan counterparts in the opening match of the female football of the All African Games by 2-0.

Nigeria made it a bad International Women’s Day for Morocco making them look like minnows (football novices) though the Nigerians missed several scoring chances.

Defending Champions, Nigeria forced Morocco to commit several errors in the first half including an own goal by F. Bambara in the 19th minute and three yellow cards which in football is for caution.

Nigeria got the 2nd goal through A. Yina in the 40th minute before both sides went into recess though the game ended 2-0 in favor of Nigeria in group B.

The result of the other group B match between Senegal and Cameroon was not available as at Press Time.

Falconers who won the title in Morocco in 2019 is scheduled to face Senegal U20 women on 11th March in the 2nd of the 3rd group match at 9pm Nigeria time while Cameroon will tackle Morocco at 6pm.

Hosts Ghana will meet Ethiopia at 9pm tomorrow Saturday after Tanzania would have staked skills against Uganda at 6pm.

Uganda and Ethiopia will tackle themselves in the 2nd round match on 12th March at 6pm before Ghana will file out against Tanzania at 9pm same day.

The two top teams in each group will go straight into the semifinals.

Nigeria's Flying Eagles tutored by Ladan Bosso lost 1-2 to the junior Ugandan Cranes in the Men's category.
