The meeting, which had in attendance other heads of the commision was meant to address the state of country’s sports facilities and how to find a lasting solution to it
The permanent secretary,Olusade Adesola said this meeting is timely in view of the current state of our sports facilities and the need to upgrade them in order to meet up with international standard.
The minister of youth and sports,Sunday Dare has made upgrading of the country’s deteriorating sports facilities one of his cardinal objectives and has been to all the federal stadia in the country in other to have first hand information about the current state of the facilities.
Dare has been able to bring fresh impetus and concept to sports management and has focus more on alternative source of fund for the ministry so as meet up with growing demands of the country’s sports facilities instead of relying solely on government for supports.
