Ex-University of Ibadan Footballers Appoint NFF Scribe Dr. Mohammed Sanusi as Patron
The Ex-University of Ibadan Footballers Association has named Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), as one of its Patrons.
Dr. Sanusi’s distinguished career spans sports administration, coaching, and academia. A former student-athlete at the University of Ibadan, he boasts a robust academic background, with degrees in physical and health education from Uthman Dan Fodio University, the University of Ibadan, and a Ph.D. from Ahmadu Bello University.
An accomplished multi-sport athlete in his youth, Sanusi played football for NIPOST FC of Sokoto and other clubs, excelling in hockey, volleyball, handball, and athletics during his university days.
His administrative achievements include serving as the longest-tenured NFF General Secretary since 2015, a CAF-certified coach and instructor, and a FIFA Match Commissioner. He has played key roles in organizing global and regional sports events, such as the FIFA World Youth Championship and the All-Africa Games.
The investiture ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 21, 2024, during the Reunion Gala Night marking the Association’s 10th anniversary at the University of Ibadan’s Conference Hall.
