Stanley Okoronkwo, a former Rangers forward and later General Manager, who passed on to the great beyond recently, began his final journey to eternity on Thursday, 8 August, 2024, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.

This is even as condolence register has been opened at both the Abuja and Nnewi residences of former FC Ifeanyi Ubah President,and financier, late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who died in London, United Kingdom, on Saturday, 27 July, 2024.

Okoronkwo, 73, began his journey home August 8 with a candle night service at the Gymnasium of Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu, with most of his former ex Rangers teammates as well as top football and sports fraternity in attendance.

According to the burial program of the fair-skinned ex international as released by his family, a Christian wake-keep has been slated to hold at his family compound, Atani Arochukwu, Abia State, on Thursday, August 29.

His remains will be committed to mother earth on Friday, August 30, at his family compound, Ndi-Elekwauwa Atani, Arochukwu after a brief lying in state and funeral church service at All Saints Anglican Communion, Ugwuaro, Arochukwu, Abia State.

Similarly, late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah's Nnewi and Abuja residences have become beehive of activities with mourners and sympathisers trooping in to sign the condolence register with Anambra State FA Chairman, Chikelue 'General' Iloenyosi amongst the early visitors.

Recall that late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah served as Anambra FA Chairman between 2016 through 2020, with Iloenyosi succeeding him at the end of his tenure.
