Exciting Quarter-Finals Ahead in the Nigeria Ex-Internationals Cup

The quarter-final matches of the inaugural Nigeria Ex-Internationals Cup, Lagos Chapter, organized by the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), will take place on Tuesday, June 25th.

In the opening game at 7:00 AM, FC Agbai, who defeated FC Temile and FC Oloyede to reach this stage, will face the formidable FC Ipaye at the Legacy Pitch.

The second match, scheduled for 12:00 PM at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, features FC Ekpo against FC Udeze. FC Ekpo advanced after a hard-fought victory over FC Enegwae in the round of 16. FC Udeze reached this stage by overcoming FC Elahor and FC Okpara.

At 2:00 PM, FC Agali will take on FC Obafemi in what promises to be a tough encounter. Both teams have battled through challenging matches to secure their spots in the quarter-finals and will be vying fiercely for a place in the last four.

The final match of the quarter-finals, scheduled for 4:00 PM at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, pits FC Nwosu against FC Ugbade in a clash that could be termed 'Father vs. Son'. Despite the age difference, the tactical and technical abilities of the coaches and players will be the key factors. Henry Nwosu, the youngest player to win the African Cup of Nations in 1980, and Nduka Ugbade, the first Nigerian captain to win a World Cup at any age level in 1985, will both be on the sidelines directing their teams in this highly anticipated match.

Fans can expect thrilling action as these teams compete for a spot in the semi-finals of the maiden Nigeria Ex-Internationals Cup.
