Ex Edel FC GM Onuchukwu Thrilled With Ofonime, Arinze Ljungkile SK Sweden Deal
Former Yugoslavia based Nigeria forward and later Edel FC General Manager, Olisa Onuchukwu, has voiced his delight with the Ljungkile SK, Sweden transfer of the duo of Arinze Anya and Harrison Ofonime who he worked with while in the helm of affairs at Edel FC.
Edel Football Club, Anambra recorded a historic breakthrough in the business aspect of football as two key players of the NNL side signed direct contracts without going for trials with Swedish third division club, Ljungkile SK Herrfotboll on a one year loan deals with option of two years extension.
Forward Arinze Anya and midfielder Harrison Ofonime signed their contracts here in Nigeria and secured their work permits before jetting out to the scandinavian country.
This development has sparked off celebrations with the top echleon of Edel Football Club, especially the club's former General Manager, Olisa Onuchukwu, an ex-international player and experienced frontline football administrator/consultant who through his vast global football contacts initiated the arrangement by pushing through a wonderful proposal to swedish based former super eagles star, Prince Ikpe Ekong who brokered the proficient deal.
"Honestly, by the special grace of God, this is a very briliant arrangement that will project both Edel FC and the players to the top within a short period," Onuchukwu sounded as he rejoiced.
He concluded by revealing that "many more contacts and opportunities like this are bound in Edel Football Club, hence we have spread our dragnets looking for super talented young players."
Onuchukwu went further to pour special plaudits to the ebulient president of the club, Mr. Jude Edeh for his big heart and never say die funding and support to the team which no Nigerian private club owner has ever equalled, such comitments culminated to this breakthrough developments after turbulent years of diversified upheavals in the club.
Onuchukwu rounded up by standing out boldly to declare that Edel Football Club is the best professional club in Nigeria.
