Evolution Cup has maintained its  support for Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup after donating soccer balls ahead of the second edition of the tourney.

Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup is  organised by Judith Chime  to immortalize and celebrate the former Super Falcons player.

Convener of the Ifeanyi Chiejine memorial cup, Judith Chime expressed her excitement towards Evolution Cup for their support.

"Words cannot express how I feel about the Evolution cup team I just want to say the Evolution Cup team has been amazing right from when I wanted to kick start the Ifeanyi Chiejine memorial tournament.

I would call the man heading the Evolution Cup team (Olatoye Olawale) a friend and a colleague who is always giving me the words that I needed to hear and who is still standing and making sure that I don't give up. My heart is full of joy knowing that I have somebody from that organisation and I want to say a big thank you to the Evolution Cup organisation" She said.

The project strategist Evolution Cup, Olawale Olatoye said supporting the Ifeanyi Chiejine memorial cup by donating balls was borne  out of  the need to celebrate  a legend who served the Nation with so much passion and zeal and to further contribute in the discovery of another Ifeanyi Chiejine  in the grass-roots.

"We are really proud to be part of  celebrating and immortalizing a hero Ifeanyi Chiejine who died at a very young age.

When the convener Judith Chime approached us about her idea to celebrate Ifeanyi Chiejine who was very dedicated to Nigeria,  we felt it was  necessary for us to be part of this great event and in our own little way we thought of it that what can we do and how can we contribute, We all know how important a soccer ball is to every football game so we chose to donate the soccer balls because that was what made Ifeanyi and  without the soccer Balls probably no one would have known about Ifeanyi Chiejine so that is why we chose to donate soccer balls.

We did it in the  last edition and we thought of it this edition again despite the situation of the country we still stand firm to support a friend and a colleague and that is why we are coming back again to donate the soccer balls.

We just want Ifeanyi Chiejine to be happy when those talents would be playing those soccer balls. And we hope that kicking those balls we can actually discover another Ifeanyi Chiejine that would still go to represent Nigeria playing for the Falconet and the Super Falcons and these are the reasons we are doing what we are doing.

Evolution cup we are here not just organising events but we also want to put smiles on faces and that is why we stand on that mantra that we would always connect we would create and we would always do great things and we would always support the tournament" He added.

The second edition of the Ifeanyi Chiejine Memorial Cup will be held in Asaba, Delta state from 11th - 17th of  December 2023.
