Eric Chelle Thanks NFF for 'Amazing' Opportunity to Coach Super Eagles
Newly appointed Super Eagles Head Coach, Éric Sékou Chelle, has expressed gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the opportunity to coach one of Africa's biggest football teams.
At his unveiling ceremony, Chelle said, "I want to thank my agent, the NFF, the NSC, and indeed all Nigerians for this big opportunity. Coaching the Super Eagles of Nigeria is an amazing job; I do not take this appointment for granted."
Chelle, who has signed a two-year contract with the option of an additional year, emphasized his attacking style of play, stating, "Football is about scoring goals, so I favour an attacking style."
NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, reiterated his call for Nigerians to support Chelle, promising that the football-ruling body will provide necessary support for him to succeed.
Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, also affirmed the NSC's support for Chelle, stating that the Government is ready to provide resources to support the NFF.
