BY SAB OSUJI
A high powered delegation of Nigeria's most successful club, Enyimba International, have taken their domineering role in Nigerian football to a new level, becoming the first domestic club to pay 'condolence' and 'get well quick' visit to former Super Eagles breezy winger, Tijani Babangida, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
The delegation, led by former Super Eagles Captain and 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games men's Soccer event gold medal winning Nigeria U23 team tagged Dream Team 1, Nwankwo Kanu.
Also in the delegation that visited Babangia MON on Saturday at his Abuja residence is Ifeanyi Ekwueme, also a former Super Eagles winger.
Babangida was involved in a ghastly auto crash that claimed the life of his brother, Ibrahim Babangida, as well as his (Tijani's) one-year-old son.
Babangida sustained injuries during the accident and is currently recuperating.
During the visit on Saturday, the Enyimba team supported the ex-Nigeria international with N1m.
Enyimba International Executive Chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, presented money on behalf of the nine-time Nigeria Premier League Champions and two time CAF Champions League winners.
Kanu, a UNICEF Ambassador, promise to 'do more'.
