Enyimba Declares Midfielder Nwaiwu Absent Without Official Leave
BY SAB OSUJI
Nigeria Champions, Enyimba, have declared one of their priceless jewel of inestimable value, Chibuike Nwaiwu, absent without official leave, AWOL, Exclusivenews.com.ng reports.
The People's Elephant said in a statement on Monday signed by David Orji, Media Manager of the nine-time NPFL Kings, disclosed that the midfielder left camp in September without any permission and without any trace.
The two-time African Champions therefore inform the general public and in particular clubs within and outside of the country that Nwaiwu still remained a bona fide player of Enyimba, insisting that the run-away player still has existing contract with them.
"Nwaiwu has been away from the club since September without an official leave, nor authorization from the management", the statement reads in part.
"And by this action, he has breached his contractual obligations to the club and the club shall activate it’s disciplinary measures against him", Enyimba further declared in the statement.
"It is also on record that Chibuike Nwaiwu is a bonafide player of the club as he still has an existing contract and has not been released or freed to join any club.
"The Public, NPFL clubs, NNL clubs, & other clubs are hereby notified of this development & to be properly communicated".
