Abia Warriors' three-match winning streak came to an end at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba, as Enyimba secured a 2-1 victory in the Oriental derby. The Warriors took the lead through Anthony Ijoma's goal, but Enyimba's Kalu Nweke and Joseph Atule scored in either half to secure the win.

The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating scoring opportunities. Abia Warriors' goalkeeper, Sharp Uzoigwe, made a crucial save in the fifth minute to deny Enyimba an early lead. The Warriors took the lead in the 21st minute when Ijoma headed home a cross from Sunday Megwo.

However, Enyimba equalized in the 35th minute through Nweke's curved effort, and took the lead in the 66th minute through Atule's powerful shot. Despite dominating play in the second half, Abia Warriors failed to equalize, and Enyimba held on for the win.

Abia Warriors will next face Rivers United of Port Harcourt in a home fixture. The loss ended their three-match winning streak, but the team will look to bounce back in their upcoming match.
