In a move to boost agricultural production in Igbo Etiti Local Government Area (LGA) of Enugu State, Chairman Eric Odo has appointed two Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) to oversee specific crops. Ezeugwu Frederick Ogbonna will focus on yam and pepper, while Nwodo Everestus Ugonna will concentrate on garden egg and pepper.

Both officials received appointment letters dated November 1, directing them to report to the Executive Chairman's office in Ogbede for further briefing and deployment. The appointments are temporary and held at the pleasure of the Executive Chairman.

This development has sparked mixed reactions, with some praising the move as a step towards improving agricultural production, while others criticize it as an unnecessary appointment.
