Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has launched a scathing critique of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, branding it as the most corrupt and dishonest government in Nigeria’s history.

In a strongly worded statement, El-Rufai accused the federal government of deceiving Nigerians with false propaganda, particularly on issues of national security.

“This is the most lying government we’ve ever had,” he declared. “They claim security has improved, yet bandit leaders like Dogo Gide, Mallam Abba, and Bello Turji are still terrorising communities. They celebrate fake victories while large parts of Katsina, Zamfara, and Sokoto remain under the control of bandits.”

He warned that the administration’s pattern of denial and misinformation is unsustainable and that the truth would eventually catch up with it.

Despite having supported Tinubu during the 2023 elections, El-Rufai distanced himself from the current government’s performance. “I was a state governor, not part of the federal government,” he said. “Judge me by what I did in Kaduna, not by what’s happening in Abuja.”
