El-Rufai Accuse Tinubu Say E Wan Rule Like Paul Biya, Call Tinubu Govt “Worst Pass Military Regime”

Former Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufai, don drop another heavy attack on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as e accuse am say e dey plan to rule Nigeria till e die — just like Paul Biya of Cameroon wey don dey power since 1982.

 

El-Rufai, wey now be strong member of opposition coalition, African Democratic Congress (ADC), talk this one yesterday evening when former Vice President Atiku Abubakar visit am for Kaduna. Atiku go see am to show support after reports say APC-sponsored thugs attack El-Rufai during di recent ADC inauguration for di state.

El-Rufai no mince words as e tell Atiku say di kind of government wey Tinubu dey run now, no be democracy at all.

“Wetin dey happen now na big evil. If we no stop this thing now, Nigeria fit turn to Paul Biya country. All the signs dey there. If we no join hand remove Tinubu for 2027, e go turn president for life,” El-Rufai talk.

“E dey centralize everything, dey behave like say democracy na just mouth. All the years we dey shout NADECO and true federalism na scam be that if we allow this continue.”

El-Rufai no stop for there. E go ahead call Tinubu government “worst pass any military regime Nigeria don ever get.”

“Even Buhari with him military background no do reach like this. When you (Atiku) and Obasanjo dey power, nobody go prison because of politics. But now, na full-blown dictatorship we dey see,” El-Rufai tell Atiku.

El-Rufai compare Tinubu plan to Paul Biya, di 91-year-old president of Cameroon wey don dey power for over 43 years, despite plenty wahala, elections wey no clear, and suppression of opposition voices.

 

Di former governor accuse Tinubu say all the moves wey e dey make — from controlling state resources to silencing opposition — na pointer say e no wan leave power anytime soon.

Atiku, wey listen to El-Rufai, praise am for standing strong despite attack. E say Nigerians must wake up and protect democracy.

 

“This is not about party again, na about Nigeria. We must unite to stop this madness before e go too late,” Atiku add.

 

As tension dey rise among opposition and government, many political observers don dey ask whether this latest attack from El-Rufai go cause more crack inside APC and energize opposition ahead of 2027 elections.
